Have your wedding dress preserved with Museum Care by DryCleanBaltimore.Com by Schroedl. We are long standing members of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists. For decades, brides of Baltimore, MD have trusted us to ensure the lasting beauty of their gowns with truly green, carbon neutral gown dry cleaning and preservation.
DryCleanBaltimore.Com by Schroedl has been in business since 1861 and we still believe in providing personalized customer service. Each dress is different and unique, just like the bride – that is why we will come to your home or office to evaluate each gown individually. Your gown will be handled with the utmost care while it is cleaned from top to bottom here on site. We take every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery, and lace during the cleaning. We love to hear from our customers – please visit our review page on The Knot or Wedding Wire to see what people are saying about our services or review our services here.
Our wedding dress dry cleaning specialists have years of experience to ensure your gown is handled with the proper care. We inspect your gown several times throughout the process – evaluating the fabric, beading, hem lines, the zipper, and the gown in its entirety. Our thoroughness and attention to detail guarantee great results!
We also preserve your family’s tradition of ceremonial gowns. We offer treasure chests to preserve christening gowns, flower girl gowns, communion gowns and ring-bearer suits. When the time comes that you want to reuse your ceremonial clothing, we will press the items at no charge.
We clean dresses according to standard museum-quality practices. Plus, we take extra steps to be certain all stains, both seen and unseen, are removed. Wedding day spills such as soda, wine, and cake (many times caused by a guest and unnoticed by you) can dry without leaving a visible mark. Over time, these sugary stains, which are not dissolved during ordinary dry cleaning, can caramelize into ugly brown stains. Your gown will be cleaned at our Baltimore, Maryland facility – we do not send your gown out for cleaning. You will be kept up to date throughout the cleaning process and able to personally inspect your gown at our store before preservation.
Turn the memory of your special day into an heirloom with the wedding gown preservation service you can trust – guaranteed! We inspect your gown personally before it is carefully layered with acid-free tissue and folded into an acid-free, archival-quality wedding chest that protects it from exposure to light and air. No chemicals are added, and our preservations are carbon-neutral because we offset all carbon emissions with donations to Carbonfund.org that support reforestation projects.

- Always… hang your wedding dress by the loops inside the gown that are connected to sturdy side seams, never by fragile shoulder seams that can stretch or sag.
- Always… avoid storing your wedding gown in plastic bags or vacuum-sealed plastic. Plastic can emit fumes that can yellow your bridal gown and/or trap moisture that mildews your wedding gown.
- Always… avoid storing your bridal gown in the attic or basement where there are extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
- Always… ask what precautions the specialists take to protect the delicate trims and decorations on your wedding dress and how the cleaner guards against latent stains on your gown.
